Disneynature's OCEANS

Thank You, Moviegoers!

Thank you to all of the moviegoers who saw Disneynature's OCEANS during opening week. With your help, $350,000 was raised to protect coral reefs in The Bahamas. The Nature Conservancy will use the funds to support the creation of a new marine-protected area along the west side of Andros Island in The Bahamas. The Conservancy and its local partners, including the Bahamian government, are working to define new boundaries that will expand the current marine park from 300,000 acres to more than 1 million acres. This region contains miles of vital coral reefs that provide natural habitat, nurseries and feeding grounds for hundreds of marine species.

In addition to the funds raised through the theatrical release of OCEANS, Disneynature will give a portion of proceeds from the sale of OCEANS Blu-ray packs and DVDs during the week of October 19-25 to support the Conservancy's work in The Bahamas.
