I chose this recipe because these brownies are very easy to make, and they are great for any picnic. They can be made in no time at all and are easy to take on the go. They are super tasty, and I bet there won’t be any left to take home!
8 oz (2sticks) butter
4 oz. unsweetened or very dark chocolate
1 ½ c sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Sifted ¾ cup flour
½ tsp. salt
¾ cup pecans or nuts of your choice.
Melt the butter and chocolate over simmering water, or in microwave, until smooth.
Beat eggs with sugar by hand or with a mixer. Add vanilla.
Fold in flour, salt, then walnuts.
Place in greased 9×13 pan, or if you would like thicker brownies, 9×9 or 8×8 pan.
Bake for 15 minutes at 325F, or until a toothpick inserted comes clean or out with a few moist crumbs. (You don’t want to over-bake these. They are better slightly under-baked). (Time will vary if you change the pan size).
